Sheena and Soil Team Up on “The Assassin’s Assassin”

The mysterious trailer with SOIL & "PIMP" SESSIONS and Sheena Ringo was a great preview of the single to be released on Wednesday, June 26.

SOIL & "PIMP" SESSIONS, who are celebrating their tenth anniversary this year with the current lineup, have announced the release of a new single entitled “The Assassin’s Assassin” featuring musical ally Sheena Ringo on vocals. It is an ambitious piece with lyrics by Sheena Ringo, music by Sheena and Tabu Zombie, and an arrangement by Saito Neko. That Soil and Sheena go great together was proven by ““Temporary” Virgin (Death Jazz Ver.),” and they are as in synch as ever on the new single, making it a must-listen. The video too is a must-see--not your run of the mill production by any means.

More details and jacket photos can be found here.

Dezille Brothers Trio

Junpei Shiina, Tomoyasu Takeuchi and Swing-O of Dezille Brothers will be playing a series of shows as a trio, like a detached after-school soul force. They'll make stops in Yokohama as well as Kobe, Kakogawa and Okayama on a circuit round the Sanyo region. These are can't miss shows that will reveal yet another side of Dezille. See Concert Information for details.

Dezille Brothers Trio Travels
Tues., June 11 Yokohama at GrassRoots
Fri., June 21 Kobe at Kobe 108
Sat., June 22 Kakogawa at Kachakacha
Sun., June 23 Okayama at Shiroshita Kokaido

*Comments from Junpei Shiina
Hello everyone, Junpei Shiina here. I want to tell you about Dezille Brothers Trio Travels. A smidgeon loose just as the tour title would suggest, vocalist Shiina, guitarist Tomoyasu Takeuchi and keyboardist Swing-O are coming to a city near you. If the regular activities of Dezille Brothers are curricular, the trio is an after-school extracurricular bonanza. Class is over, you leave the schoolhouse, you loosen up the collar on the school issued attire and head to where you can stretch out a little with good friends--this is the idea (as an aside, when I was in high school, going to Mister Donuts was a something of an adventure). The easygoing feel of after-school hours is the major premise, but there are nerves too, from being tightened at the waist; it feels something like that. For me personally, I’m very excited to be performing as a trio. The places where we'll be playing are all firsts for Dezille (the members often go to GrassRoots in Yokohama, but not as Dezille), so many in the crowd may be experiencing Dezille soul for the first time. We plan to perform our hearts out so that everyone, newbies and veterans alike, will have a great time. We hope you can join us.

See you at the shows!
