Sheena Ringo, who this year celebrates the 15th anniversary of her major label debut, will be releasing a long awaited new single, called 'Les Couleurs Chantent / La Solitude de l'aube,' a double-A-side release. Both songs are tie-ups with other productions: "Les Couleurs Chantent" is the theme song of a new Fuji TV drama called "Duck, Travels To Kyoto: The Diary of the Proprietress of a Venerable Inn," and "La Solitude de l'aube" is the theme music for the new NHK E program "Switch Interview: Experts." |

Sheena Ringo Writes Theme Song for New Fuji TV Drama Sheena Ringo has written the theme song for a new Fuji TV drama that began in April. The first episode of the drama “Duck, Travels To Kyoto: The Diary of the Proprietress of a Venerable Inn” aired on Tuesday, April 9. It is about a woman with an elite professional career who ends up taking over management of her family’s inn and struggles to restore it as the new proprietress. The new song penned for the drama is titled “Couleurs Perfum,” and we look forward to seeing how it fits in with the drama’s worldview. |

The new “cross-interview” program, called “Switch Interview: Experts,” takes two people in different fields and has them interview each other to explore their differences and find common ground. Song Written by Sheena Ringo for Yoko Maki Appearing on CD "Fortune Hill Road (Saisakizaka)," a song written by Sheena Ringo for the movie Sayonara Keikoku starring Yoko Maki, will be released in CD format sung by Ms. Maki herself. For the actress, it represents the first CD released under her name. There is also a bonus DVD that includes the video shot for the single. The release date is Monday, May 27, which is the anniversary of Sheena Ringo's major label debut. Tower Records will be the exclusive outlet, so you can pick up the CD at any one of their nationwide stores or on Tower Records Online. The jacket photo has also been completed. |
